Employment Law Fee Earner – York

Salary: Up to £55,000 plus benefits


Are you an experienced Employment Law specialist looking for a new challenge in a supportive and down-to-earth team? We’re working with a well-established regional firm that is looking to recruit a skilled Employment Fee Earner to join their busy Commercial team at their Clifton Moor office in York.


This is a fantastic opportunity to manage your own high-quality caseload covering the full spectrum of employment law matters, with the autonomy to develop client relationships and make a real impact in a growing team.


About the Role


You’ll work on a wide range of both contentious and non-contentious matters, including:


  • Contracts of employment and service agreements
  • Discrimination and whistleblowing claims
  • Disciplinary and grievance procedures
  • Settlement agreements and negotiations
  • TUPE transfers and restructuring
  • Unfair dismissal and wrongful dismissal claims
  • Employment Tribunal preparation and advocacy
  • Redundancy advice and workforce reorganisation

What We’re Looking For


  • A strong background in Employment Law – typically 5+ years’ experience as a Solicitor or Legal Executive
  • Confidence handling a diverse caseload and advising both employers and employees
  • A commercial mindset and practical, solutions-focused approach
  • Excellent communication and client care skills
  • Some experience in marketing or business development would be a bonus
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a supportive team
  • Flexible Working & Location
