A leading national law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Solicitor to join its Birmingham office, with a focus on equal pay matters and public sector employment work.
The role sits within a highly regarded national employment team and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to lead a specialist sub-team within the department. This is a high-responsibility, highly analytical role, involving complex advisory work and the delivery of large-scale public sector projects.
The Role:
- Advising public sector clients on equal pay claims, audits and risk management
- Leading and developing a specialist sub-team focused on equal pay and related public sector matters
- Playing a central role in major equal pay and pay reform projects involving large workforces
- Managing complex employment tribunal litigation and providing strategic non-contentious advice
- Working closely with clients on workforce strategy, restructures and compliance
- Collaborating with colleagues nationally on high-value, high-profile matters
The Candidate:
- A qualified solicitor with strong experience in employment law
- Demonstrable expertise in equal pay and public sector employment work
- Experience of handling complex, data-heavy and analytical matters
- Capability and ambition to take on leadership responsibility within a growing team
- Strong technical ability combined with a practical, client-focused approach
