A leading Legal 500-ranked law firm in Manchester is seeking to appoint an Employment Solicitor to join its well-established and highly regarded Employment team.

This appointment reflects continued growth within the department and presents an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and commercially astute solicitor to work on high-quality matters within a supportive and progressive environment.

The Role

The successful candidate will undertake a broad mix of contentious and non-contentious employment work, advising both employers and senior employees across a diverse client base that includes SMEs, owner-managed businesses, and national organisations.

You will manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision while also assisting senior colleagues on more complex and high-value matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Advising on a full spectrum of employment law matters, both contentious and advisory
• Managing Employment Tribunal proceedings from initial instruction through to final hearing
• Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and settlement agreements
• Advising on disciplinary and grievance processes, redundancies, restructures, and TUPE
• Supporting corporate transactions with employment-related advice
• Providing strategic HR support to employer clients
• Contributing to business development initiatives and maintaining strong client relationships

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
• Experience in Employment Law
• Demonstrable experience handling tribunal litigation and advisory matters
• Strong technical knowledge and sound commercial judgement
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Professional, client-focused, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively
