Employment Solicitor (NQ+)

Simpson Judge is delighted to be working with a well-established and highly regarded regional law firm seeking an ambitious Employment Solicitor (Newly Qualified and above) to join their respected Employment Team in Lichfield.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven solicitor looking to build their career within a collaborative and growing practice, handling a varied caseload of both contentious and non-contentious employment matters.

The Opportunity

You will work closely with experienced Partners and senior lawyers while also managing your own caseload. The role offers exposure to high-quality work across a broad client base including SMEs, owner-managed businesses, senior executives, and individual employees.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing Employment Tribunal claims from initial instruction through to final hearing
• Advising on unfair dismissal, discrimination, whistleblowing, and contractual disputes
• Providing guidance on TUPE, redundancy processes, and business restructures
• Drafting and negotiating settlement agreements
• Advising on restrictive covenants, confidentiality breaches, and post-termination disputes
• Drafting and reviewing employment contracts, policies, and staff handbooks
• Supporting corporate transactions with employment-related advice
• Preparing pleadings, witness statements, and legal correspondence
• Participating in negotiations and settlement discussions
• Assisting with business development and maintaining strong client relationships

About You

• Qualified Solicitor (Newly Qualified and above) with experience in Employment Law
• Experience managing or assisting with Employment Tribunal matters
• Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
• Confident communicator with strong client care skills
• Commercially aware and solutions-focused
• Motivated to develop professionally and contribute to team growth
