Location: Telford (Hybrid)

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000

Contract: Full-time 

The Opportunity

An established national law firm is seeking an Employment Solicitor or FCILEx Lawyer to join its Employment team. This is a office based role, offering 1 day working from home after probabtion.

The role involves managing a caseload of Contentious case load of Employment Tribuneral matters primarily Respondent defence, alongside exposure to non-contentious employment work. 

This opportunity would suit an employment law professional with a genuine interest in the field, who enjoys delivering practical, commercial advice within a supportive and collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  Advising clients on potential Employment Tribunal claims

  \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t

  Managing a caseload of Employment Tribunal matters, including:

  \n\t\t
  • \n\t\t

    Drafting pleadings and witness statements

    \n\t\t
  \n\t\t
  • \n\t\t

    Negotiating settlements and advising on settlement agreements

    \n\t\t
  \n\t\t
  • \n\t\t

    Instructing counsel or advocates where required

    \n\t\t
  \n\t
  \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t

  Ensuring compliance with Legal Expenses Insurer service level agreements

  \n\t
\n\t
• \n\t

  Assisting with non-contentious employment matters, including:

  \n\t\t
  • \n\t\t

    Drafting employment contracts, handbooks, and related documentation

    \n\t\t
  \n\t\t
  • \n\t\t

    Providing reactive and proactive employment advice to commercial clients

    Telephone-based employment law advice

    \n\t\t

  Contributing to marketing and business development initiatives, including:

    Writing employment law updates

    Delivering client training sessions

  Ensuring accurate, timely, and commercially focused advice

  Progressing files via a case management system
