Energy Trading Lawyer 6 Month Contract

Leading oil company based iis seeking an expwrienced enegy trading lawyer. Reporting into the Head of Commercial Contracts and witha  dotted line to the Head of Legal for EMEA, you will take responsibility for all oil trading and the trading of refinery products.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Sole European legal support for physical trading teams

\n
• Review and draft  storage agreements, private and public tenders and contract terms

\n
• Mentored and provided ongoing training to contracts administrators on complex UK and international deal terms, enhancing their understanding of legal risks and negotiation strategies

\n
• Negotiated high-value aviation fuel supply

Lead negotiations on complex procurement and outsourcing agreements, including service contracts with hauliers and into-wing refuellers, collaborating closely with procurement and operations teams to achieve optimal commercial outcomes and upskill non-legal colleagues on contractual issues like TUPE, GDPR, liability and termination provisions
