Job Description

Are you an experienced project lead or stakeholder engagement specialist with a strong understanding of the animal health, pharma, or life sciences sector?

We’re supporting a public sector client on a confidential and high-impact policy initiative and are looking for an individual who can confidently lead cross-sector engagement and drive the development of a strategic programme from within. This is a 12-month Temporary Assignment with potential for extension, with a hybrid working pattern (3 days onsite in the Woking/Weybridge area of Surrey).

This is a visible, strategic role that will require someone capable of working with autonomy and credibility - comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, sector experts, and decision-makers across industry and government.

The role will involve:

  • Leading and coordinating the development of a structured programme of activity
  • Engaging and aligning a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Managing deliverables, timelines, and interdependencies
  • Acting as a central point of contact and advocate for progress
  • Bringing a logical, delivery-focused approach to policy work
  • Communicating clearly and persuasively across professional boundaries

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience managing complex action plans or cross-sector programmes
  • Demonstrates strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Can work independently while navigating evolving priorities
  • Understands the animal health sector (e.g. veterinary, medical, pharmaceutical, or related background)
  • Is comfortable facilitating conversations with senior leaders and experts
  • Can advocate for delivery and inspire collaboration across organisational lines
  • Brings a methodical, organised mindset with a bias for action

You’ll be supported by a senior team who will provide strategic guidance, but we’re looking for someone who’s ready to step in and take the reins - with professionalism, initiative, and the ability to build momentum in a sensitive and evolving environment.

If you’re interested in applying your knowledge and leadership to a meaningful initiative with national relevance, we’d love to hear from you.
