We’re Hiring: Maintenance & Facilities Engineering Manager (Manufacturing)
We’re looking for an experienced Maintenance & Facilities Engineering Manager to lead the installation, commissioning, and ongoing performance of production equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
This is a key role responsible for ensuring operational excellence, equipment reliability, and compliance across a growing and dynamic business.
What you’ll be doing:
- Lead the installation and commissioning of new production equipment and supporting infrastructure
- Manage the maintenance and reliability of plant, machinery, and site services
- Develop and implement a robust Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategy
- Oversee contractors on-site, ensuring compliance with RAMS, permits, and H&S standards
- Drive systems for calibration, inspection, and equipment compliance
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness and product integrity (e.g. detection systems)
- Take ownership of site security systems aligned with wider business strategy
- Ensure all statutory inspections are completed and actions closed out
- Act as the primary escalation point for production-related emergencies
- Lead or support continuous improvement and special projects
What we’re looking for:
- ~4+ years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment
- Strong hands-on mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Experience managing multi-skilled engineers and external contractors
- Knowledge of Health, Safety & Environmental legislation
- Proven ability in maintenance planning, budgeting, and risk management
- Familiarity with high-volume / high-speed manufacturing (injection moulding desirable)
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- A proactive, team-oriented mindset with the ability to meet deadlines
- Full driving licence and willingness to travel between sites
