Duties and Responsibilities

Contracts & Legal Document Management

• Draft, review, proof, and edit contracts, licenses, NDAs, and legal documents in English and Spanish.
• Assemble and prepare legal documentation for execution and filing with authorities.
• Translate and analyze Spanish-language contracts and legal documents for English-speaking stakeholders.
• Provide legal support to project teams, especially within our Spanish entity, and assist other company units as needed.
• Support legal teams in managing contract lifecycles, including negotiation, execution, and compliance tracking.

Legal Liaison & Support

• Act as a liaison between legal counsel, external counsel, and clients to ensure clear communication and timely resolution.
• Support public procurement processes in Spanish jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
• Conduct legal research and compile data to support legal decision-making.
• Assist in analyzing legal documents and identifying risks or compliance issues.

Compliance & Regulatory Oversight

• Monitor legal and regulatory developments in Spanish-speaking regions.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, including Spanish public procurement regulations.
• Maintain records of legal and contractual obligations; support audits and reviews.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Law, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 5+ years experience in contract management, legal work, or operations, preferably in engineering or construction.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken), with strong translation skills.
• Solid understanding of contract law, procurement, and compliance.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal management tools (e.g., DocuSign, Ironclad, CLM platforms).

Desirable

• Paralegal certification or legal studies qualification.
• Experience with Spanish public sector contracts or international engineering projects.
• Familiarity with engineering project delivery models (e.g., EPC, Design & Construct).
• Pre-employment background check in accordance with NIST 800-171 required.

Working Conditions

Sedentary work, client interaction, occasional travel. Hybrid or remote work arrangements available.
