A specialist engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Engineering Geologist to join their team in Colchester. This role is suitable for a hands-on professional with experience in site investigations, geological assessments, and interpretative reporting, who is commutable to Colchester.

As an Engineering Geologist, you will work alongside a skilled team of engineers and geologists on a range of infrastructure, development, and environmental projects. You will be responsible for assessing ground conditions, interpreting geological data, and producing clear, high-quality reports. The role offers practical involvement in projects and the opportunity to contribute technical expertise.

Key responsibilities:

Conduct site investigations, including logging soils and rock, and sample collection

Analyse geological and geotechnical data and produce interpretative reports

Support risk assessments and provide technical input for engineering projects
