Project Manager (Engineering)

Location: York, North Yorkshire

Salary: £45–£50k plus company vehicle and benefits

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

ISF is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. Experience in an engineering, manufacturing or industrial environment is highly desirable.

ISF designs, manufactures and installs bespoke engineering solutions for the UK animal feed milling industry. Based in York, we deliver complex, site-specific projects across the UK. With over 36 years of experience, we’re known for quality, problem-solving and long-term customer relationships.

About the role

You’ll take ownership of projects from sales handover through design, manufacture, installation and completion.

This role suits a practical, organised Project Manager who enjoys coordinating people, processes and technical detail in a hands-on engineering environment.

Key responsibilities

• Take project handover from Sales and act as the main point of contact
• Survey customer sites and define project scope
• Produce GA concepts and brief the Drawing Office
• Coordinate design, fabrication and installation activities
• Liaise with Sales, Drawing Office, Workshop and Site teams
• Manage project schedules, materials, costs and hired equipment
• Support safe systems of work and installation planning
• Communicate with clients throughout delivery
• Review completed projects and feed learning back into the business
• Actively support ISF’s health, safety and quality culture

(Autodesk Inventor experience is advantageous; a working knowledge of AutoCAD is required.)

• Proven experience in engineering project management
• Strong organisation and communication skills
• Confidence working with drawings and technical documentation
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• A practical, solutions-focused mindset
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication or process engineering is an advantage
