Our client works with top engineering businesses, that are at the forefront of Innovation in their sector.\nThey are recruiting canditdates who have a passion for innovation in the engineering sector. Ideal candidates have a Engineering degree (BEng,MSc/MEng/PhD) in civil engineering, structural engineering, aeronautical engineering, mechanical, etc.\nThe opportunity will allow the candidate to develop skills in the Research and Development Tax sector specialising in Engineering through industry leading training.\nResponsibilities:\n * Undertaking the engineering technical assessment of claims and writing compelling technical summaries which will be submitted to the HMRC\n * Identification of qualifying R&D Engineering/ construction projects and expenditure through participation in technical discussions with clients\n * Ensuring R&D claims meet the requirements of the relevant legislation and guidelines (the new joiner will be trained in-house on these matters through a thorough a comprehensive internal induction and training programme\n * Supporting R&D Engineering/ Construction Relief claims in the event of HMRC R&D enquiries\n * Continuously developing own knowledge and skills and to keep technical knowledge up to date\nWe’re looking for someone with:\n * A recognised university degree (MSc/MEng and/or PhD) in a field of Engineering, specifically relating to Civils, Structural, or mechanical etc.\nMinimum requirements:\n * Work experience in your chosen industry as an engineer or technical role, with a good sector knowledge in Engineering.\n * Excellent communication (both spoken and written), curiosity, awareness and an interest in the fields of science, technology and innovation.\nThis is a rewarding career path for someone who wants to pursue a career in Research and Development in the Engineering Industry.
