Job Description
Title: Engineering Stores Manager\n\nLocation: Milton Keynes\n\nHours: Monday - Friday, 7am - 4pm (Flexible hours)\n\nSalary: Circa £40,000 - £45,000 per annum (depending on experience) \n\nBenefits Include: 10% Pension, Private Healthcare, 31 Days Holiday, Training & Development\n\nPosition Details:\n\nThis international food manufacturing company is seeking a proactive Stores Manager to join their engineering team in Milton Keynes. \n\nThis is a pivotal role within a fast-paced, high-tech site. You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our engineering stores, ensuring our maintenance team has the parts they need to keep the site running at peak efficiency.
You will manage one direct report and play a key role in our journey to grow our food manufacturing business.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nInventory Management: Lead periodic cycle counts, yearly stock takes, and manage the identification and location of all engineering stock.\nProcurement Support: Work closely with the Engineering Purchaser to source alternative suppliers, manage lead times, and negotiate costs to drive value.\nOperational Excellence: Maintain an organized, tidy stores area with clear standards for engineers to follow.\nTechnical Oversight: Manage the repair/rewind of high-value stock and ensure spare parts for new factory equipment are provisioned correctly.\nSystem Accuracy: Utilize IT systems (including Excel and CMMS) to track KPIs, raise PO numbers, and manage stock levels of slow-moving items.\nCompliance: Ensure full adherence to Health & Safety (ISO 45001) and Food Safety standards, including risk assessments and PPE compliance. \n\nRequirements:\n\nExperience: At least 3+ years in a Stores Management or Senior Inventory role, specifically within an engineering or manufacturing environment.\nTechnical Knowledge: Ability to identify and source "like-for-like" engineering components and spare parts.\nIT Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Strong Excel skills are essential) and experience with stock management software/CMMS.\nSoft Skills: A "can-do" attitude, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to lead a small team.\nIndustry Background: Experience in food manufacturing is highly advantageous but not essential.Extensive Benefits Include:\n\nOvertime: Available and paid at £35 per hour\nPension: 10% Matched Company Pension\nHealthcare: Single BUPA annual cover\nGreen Initiatives: EV Car Scheme\nFinancial Growth: ShareSave Scheme\nPerks: Hapi App (discounts/vouchers for shopping and travel)\nEnvironment: A modern, highly regulated site with a focus on safety and career development. \n\nJob Titles: Engineering Stores Manager, Maintenance Stores Manager, Inventory & Procurement Manager, Technical Stores Lead, Stores & Purchasing Supervisor, Engineering Spares Manager, MRO Manager, Technical Parts Manager, Engineering Asset Coordinator, Plant Stores Manager, Inventory Manager, Spare Parts Logistics Manager, Supply Chain Coordinator (Engineering), Stock Control Manager, Materials Manager, MRO Inventory Controller, Engineering Procurement Manager.\n\nLocations: Milton Keynes, Bletchley, Newport Pagnell, Stony Stratford, Wolverton, Olney, Buckingham, Winslow, Woburn, Woburn Sands, Leighton Buzzard, Dunstable, Houghton Regis, Bedford, Kempston, Ampthill, Flitwick, Aylesbury, Brackley, Towcester, Northampton, Biggleswade, Sandy, Cranfield.\n\nRandstad CPE values and promotes equality.
