About the Role

We are seeking a patient, engaging, and creative Specialist Tutor to provide 1:1 tuition for a 17-year-old learner with a range of medical and communication needs. Due to frequent appointments and periods of illness, he experiences significant absences from school and requires consistent, flexible support delivered at home or an agreed community setting.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering meaningful, accessible learning sessions that build confidence, develop core skills, and connect with his interests.

Learner Profile (from EHCP)

The learner:

Has medical needs leading to intermittent attendance in mainstream education. Shows strong visual learning skills, excellent visual memory, and strong attention to detail. Has a keen interest in Space, and enjoys exploring and expanding his knowledge in this area. Engages well with construction-based activities, including Lego building and Minecraft. Is an active, hands-on learner who responds best to practical, interactive tasks linked to his interests.
