Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and committed English Teacher to join a welcoming and high-performing secondary school in Warrington. This long-term supply teaching position is available to start ASAP and will run until Easter in the first instance, with the potential for extension.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced English Teacher or Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a supply teaching role in a supportive secondary school environment.

The Role - English Teacher

This secondary English Teacher position will involve:

• Teaching English Language and English Literature across KS3 and KS4
• Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
• Supporting students to develop strong literacy and analytical skills
• Marking and assessing student work in line with school policies
• Contributing positively to the department and wider school community
• Maintaining strong classroom management and high expectations for behaviour

The Ideal Candidate

The school is seeking a motivated and committed English Teacher who:

• Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Has experience teaching English in UK secondary schools
• Can confidently deliver lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Is passionate about improving student outcomes in English Language and Literature
• Has strong classroom management and communication skills
• Is able to start immediately
