This role is ideal for a dynamic, creative educator who is passionate about delivering high-quality English lessons and supporting students academic progress. You will join a collaborative English department known for its supportive ethos and commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3 and 4. Plan and deliver engaging lessons that support a broad range of learners. Mark, assess, and track pupil progress in line with school policies. Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and enrichment activities. Create an inclusive and positive classroom environment that promotes learning and curiosity. Manage behaviour according to school policy and maintain clear expectations. Provide pastoral support and guidance to students when required. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification. Experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting. Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for English. Effective behaviour management skills. Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills. Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply). A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.
