This role is ideal for a passionate educator who is able to deliver high-quality English lessons and inspire pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. Opportunities are available on a day-to-day, short-term, and long-term basis, with potential for permanent positions for the right candidate.

The Role:

As an English Teacher, you will be responsible for:

• Delivering engaging and well-structured English Language and Literature lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Teaching across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities available in some settings
• Planning, preparing, and adapting lessons to meet the needs of all learners
• Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment
• Assessing, marking, and providing constructive feedback to support pupil progress
• Contributing to the wider life of the school and working collaboratively with teaching and support staff

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Recent experience teaching English in a UK secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge and a passion for English
• Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
• A flexible, reliable, and professional approach to work
• An Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service, or the willingness to obtain one
