Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
• A strong understanding of the English National Curriculum.
• The ability to explain complex ideas in simple, exciting ways.
• Good at planning ahead and meeting deadlines.
• Experience in managing classroom behaviour effectively.

Key Duties:

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across the KS3 and KS4 curriculum.
• Lead interventions to help pupils prepare for their English GCSE assessments.
• Adapt teaching styles to support students of all ability levels.
• Maintain a productive, focused, and positive classroom environment.
• Mark student work and provide constructive feedback to drive progress.
• Ensure student safety and strictly follow school safeguarding protocols.
• Attend departmental meetings and contribute to lesson planning.
