Enterprise AI Architect - Agentic AI & LLMsContract | £850 per day UK-based | Remote / Hybrid (secure programmes)Must have 5 years' unbroken UK residencyLead the adoption of agentic AI at enterprise scaleWe're seeking a highly experienced Enterprise AI Architect to provide strategic architectural leadership for the adoption of agentic AI and Large Language Model (LLM) capabilities across complex, enterprise-scale delivery environments.Operating at senior level and reporting into senior engineering leadership, this role will shape how advanced AI patterns-such as autonomous agents, multi-agent workflows, and enterprise LLM integrations-are safely, securely, and pragmatically embedded across the full SDLC.This is a hands-on strategic role for someone who can operate comfortably across architecture, governance, delivery, and senior stakeholder engagement in highly regulated environments.Key responsibilitiesStrategic Architecture LeadershipDefine the enterprise-wide architecture and governance frameworks for agentic AI and LLM adoptionSet architectural direction for autonomous agents, multi-agent orchestration, and LLM-enabled systems across programmesAct as the primary architectural authority advising senior client stakeholders on the technical, organisational, and SDLC implications of AI adoptionEnterprise Governance & AssuranceEstablish enterprise guardrails for LLM usage, including transparency, security, prompt governance, auditability, and alignment to responsible AI policiesLead architecture review boards and governance forums to ensure AI solutions meet standards for quality, compliance, and risk managementOversee architectural artefacts describing how agentic and LLM components interact across multiple teams, platforms, and business processesDelivery Enablement & Capability BuildingMentor senior architects (Band 7 / Band 8 equivalent), building deep programme capability in architecting LLM and agentic solutions within structured SDLC environmentsInfluence programme-wide planning by identifying process, tooling, and organisational changes required to support AI adoption at scaleExternal CollaborationWork with external AI and LLM providers to shape long-term collaboration models, covering hosting strategies, agent frameworks, safety testing, model versioning, and operational supportRequired experienceExtensive experience operating as a senior / lead / enterprise architectProven experience designing and governing LLM-based and agentic AI solutions in complex environmentsStrong understanding of the SDLC impacts of AI adoption (process, tooling, assurance, operating models)Experience advising and influencing senior client and programme stakeholdersComfortable working in regulated or high-assurance environmentsNice to haveExperience shaping responsible AI or AI governance frameworksBackground in large-scale digital transformation or platform programmesExperience mentoring senior architects or leading architectural communities of practiceSecurity & eligibilityMust have 5 years' continuous, unbroken UK residencyEligibility for security vetting is required due to the nature of the programmesWhy this role?Operate at the forefront of agentic AI adoption at enterprise scaleInfluence how AI is embedded into real delivery-not experimentation in isolationShape long-term architectural direction for high-impact, secure programmesCompetitive day rate of £850Reasonable Adjustments:Respect and equality are core values to us.
