We have an exciting new opportunity to join us as an Enterprise Architect, providing technical leadership in our nextGen COO strategy across AXA UK and Ireland.

Reporting into the Head of Enterprise Architecture, you'll be responsible for aligning key stakeholders across a number of disciplines to the strategic direction as well helping define the architecture framework, target architecture, roadmap and ensuring that AXA develops reusable technology assets and products.

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) towards the end of 2025. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

What you'll be doing:

Providing vision and direction for our roadmap for architecture
Driving innovation and simplification of the technology estate through the use of common standards
Ensuring alignment of technologies to the prescribed target architecture, architecture framework and customer data management practices
Monitoring the development of building blocks across UK and Ireland to ensure our technology and operation management practices remain up to date, effective and continually improving
Assessing new and existing strategic AXA UK and Ireland products and systems to identify opportunities for platform development and creating improvement plans where required
Identifying and evaluating tools, vendors and partners including the early identification of emerging tools and vendors to meet our future needs

What you'll bring:

Previous architecture design experience as an Enterprise Architect
Lead architect experience on a large-scale data or cloud project
Working knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks e.g. TOGAF/Zachman
Proven experience interacting with all functions both business and technical to align the requirements of a project to system and technical requirements
DevOps best practice, e.g. Application Development lifecycle, security functional requirements
Working knowledge of Data modelling standards such as Accord
Exposure to artificial intelligence is beneficial
Ability to manage and prioritise a demanding workload
As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorised to work in the United Kingdom.
