This isn’t just a job—it’s the chance to change a child’s school journey. With free, expert training through our Classroom Academy, you’ll gain the confidence and skills to support children with additional needs and help them thrive from day one.

We’re looking for patient, resilient, and caring people to join us as 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants. Working across schools in Ripley and the surrounding area, you’ll play a key role in making sure every child can access learning, feel safe, and build the confidence to succeed.

* Provide focused classroom support tailored to each child

* Help with routines and transitions, building confidence and independence

* Encourage positive relationships with peers and staff

* Adapt learning tasks to match each child’s pace

* Support emotional wellbeing, resilience, and self-esteem

Every milestone matters—whether it’s reading a line of text, joining a group activity, or simply feeling calm in class. You’ll be there to celebrate progress, big or small.

This entry-level role can open the door to careers in:

* Autism support

* Speech and language development

* Behaviour mentoring

* SEN and residential schools

* Alternative provision or PRUs

With training and experience, you’ll shape your career around your strengths and passions.

* Support or youth work

* Sports coaching or martial arts

* Early years or childcare

* Public services, probation, or community roles

Or perhaps you’ve studied subjects such as psychology, education, childhood studies, SEND, public services, sports science, or creative arts—skills that are all transferable to SEN support.
