We are working with a leading UK infrastructure and civil engineering organisation seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor to support delivery across a portfolio of projects in the South East.

This is a hands-on, site-focused role where you will play a key part in ensuring environmental compliance, minimising risk, and driving sustainable best practice across operational teams.

The Role As an Environmental Advisor, you will:

Provide expert environmental advice across all stages of projects

Ensure compliance with environmental legislation, permits, and industry standards

Support and deliver environmental impact assessments and management plans

Monitor, analyse and report on environmental performance

Conduct site inspections and audits (including ISO 14001 compliance)

Support incident investigations and drive corrective actions

Work closely with operational teams, clients, and regulators

Promote continuous improvement and sustainable innovation across projects

About You You will have:

Experience in an environmental role within construction, civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure

Strong knowledge of UK environmental legislation and its practical application

Experience managing environmental risks, audits, and reporting

Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset

A degree in Environmental Science (or similar) or equivalent experience

Experience with permits/consents in construction environments

Full UK driving licence (essential due to site travel)
