Environmental Consultant - Home based East of England | Field / Home based travel required
£26,000 £40,000 DOE + Vehicle/Allowance + Benefits

We are a specialist environmental consultancy, delivering expert response and management services to the insurance sector across the UK. As our business continues to grow, were looking to expand our Environmental Claims Division with motivated, professional and technically-minded Consultants based in the East of England.

The Role: Youll manage a mix of site visits and home-based reporting, supporting the assessment and remediation of pollution and environmental incidents (primarily domestic oil spills). This is a field-based role with UK travel and involves 24hr report turnaround times post-site visit.
Key responsibilities:
Conduct site surveys of domestic and commercial properties

Collect and analyse vapour, soil, and groundwater samples

Write detailed reports with clear interpretations of findings

Scope remedial works and produce cost estimates

Plan and schedule materials, labour and plant

Supervise on-site investigations and remediation works

Liaise confidently with clients, insurers, and contractors

About You
Were looking for someone who is both technically capable and customer-focused, able to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
Youll need:
Minimum 2 years experience in environmental consulting, groundworks, building, geotechnical, or similar

Ideally a degree or HND in Environmental Science, Geology, Construction, or Engineering (not essential)

Full, clean UK driving licence

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Able to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and travel

Familiarity with MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

Experience with CAD or similar software is a plus
