Pay Rate: £300 - £370 per day (Inside IR35, via Umbrella)


Environmental & Sustainability Manager (Supply Chains)


CPS Group UK are delighted to be working with a leading global retail organisation to appoint a seasoned Environmental & Sustainability (Project) Manager to create and implement long-term sustainability initiatives to ensure the business is compliant and operates responsibly whilst remaining highly competitive.


The role is a 6-month initial contract, based out of the UK HQ in London.


Role Requirements


  • Play a key role in supporting long-term targets aligned with business sustainability objectives whilst also supporting similar ad-hoc projects
  • Monitor compliance regulation updates and policies alongside internal teams, communicating change internally
  • Manage extended producer responsibility (EPR) schemes and facilitate vendor EPR training
  • Acting SME for environmental and sustainability initiatives across the business
  • Enhance sustainability reporting systems in conjunction with internal IT teams
  • Oversee sustainability projects (monitoring progress, evaluating impact and ensuring timely on-budget completion)
  • Set clear, measurable sustainability targets and identify areas for improvement
  • Produce reports for senior management on initiative effectiveness
  • Represent the business on key compliance projects (e.g. Deforestation)


Required Skills & Experience


  • Extensive experience in sustainable development, environmental management, supply chains and project management
  • Up-to-date knowledge of environmental regulations and sustainability best practice
  • Excellent analytical, strategic and holistic thinking skills
  • Ability to manage cross-departmental projects effectively
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to produce robust reports
