You'll work at the heart of wing manufacturing, influencing both existing and future tooling, processes and product development-ensuring health, safety, efficiency and human performance are designed in from the outset.You'll be part of a close-knit ergonomics team with strong links across Operations, Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality and Health & Safety. Your work will have real, visible impact across the site and beyond.What you'll be doingAs an Ergonomist, you'll lead and contribute to ergonomic analysis and improvement across assembly and installation activities. Key responsibilities include:Assessing manufacturing processes to identify ergonomic risk factors and opportunities for improvementDeveloping and implementing ergonomic recommendations that support both people and production performanceBuilding and maintaining ergonomic action plans aligned to industrial strategy and future evolutionsInfluencing product and process design using design-for-manufacture and user-centred design principlesSupporting ergonomic risk reduction through technical, organisational and training solutionsEnsuring ergonomics is embedded in tooling, equipment and machine supplier specificationsContributing to outsourced ergonomics work packages, including supplier engagement and validationMaintaining the local Ergonomics Tactical Implementation Plan and supporting cross-site initiativesWorking collaboratively with Health & Safety representatives and operational stakeholdersMonitoring and applying relevant UK and international regulations, standards and scientific developments What we're looking forWe're keen to hear from candidates who combine strong technical knowledge with the confidence to influence in a complex engineering environment.
