Esports Teacher (KS3–KS5 | SEMH) – Greenwich Royal Borough of Greenwich Competitive salary / daily rate (DOE) Full-time | Long-term to permanent The Role A forward-thinking SEMH school in Greenwich is looking for an innovative and engaging Esports Teacher to deliver a dynamic curriculum across KS3 to KS5. This is a unique opportunity to use Esports education as a vehicle to re-engage students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health, many of whom have experienced barriers to mainstream education. You won’t just be “letting students play games”—you’ll be building a structured programme that develops teamwork, communication, digital skills and future career pathways. What You’ll Be Doing Deliver and develop an engaging Esports curriculum (e.g. BTEC Level 2/3) Teach key areas such as: Game analysis (e.g. Valorant, FIFA, Rocket League) Team strategy, communication and leadership Streaming, content creation and event planning Industry pathways within esports Use esports as a tool to improve attendance, behaviour and engagement Manage behaviour positively and consistently in line with SEMH strategies Work closely with pastoral teams, SENCOs and support staffThe Ideal Candidate Teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or strong unqualified instructor with relevant experience Background in esports, gaming, media, or ICT Experience working with SEMH, PRU or alternative provision (highly desirable) Strong behaviour management and emotional resilience Ability to build rapport with disengaged learners Passion for using non-traditional curriculum to drive outcomesWhy This School?
