As an Estates Projects & Compliance Manager you will deliver safe, sustainable and high-quality environments, ensuring buildings meet regulatory standards and support operational performance. Working closely with stakeholders, the Estates Projects & Compliance Manager will manage contractors, oversee compliance systems and contribute to long-term estate strategy and asset planning. This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to influence estates management, drive improvements and support organisational sustainability. DUTIES Your duties as the Estates Projects & Compliance Manager include: • Lead Estates Compliance: Ensure all buildings meet statutory compliance, health and safety and regulatory standards • Manage Capital Projects: Support delivery of capital works, refurbishments and minor works projects • Oversee Contractors: Coordinate contractors, ensuring safe working practices and contract compliance • Health & Safety Management: Provide technical advice, audits, risk assessments and compliance reporting • Budget Support: Assist with estates budgets, procurement processes and financial tracking • Asset Management: Maintain asset registers and lifecycle planning for buildings and infrastructure • Energy & Utilities Oversight: Support energy management initiatives and sustainability projects • Compliance Systems: Manage compliance data, inspections and reporting through digital systems • Technical Guidance: Advise stakeholders on estates legislation, building regulations and best practice • Reporting: Prepare reports and updates for senior leadership and stakeholders CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS ESSENTIAL: • HNC / HND in an estates, buildings or construction-related discipline • Full driving licence and willingness to travel across sites • Proven experience in estates management, compliance or facilities management • Strong knowledge of health and safety, risk assessments and regulatory compliance • Experience managing contractors, projects and procurement processes • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills • Ability to interpret technical drawings, data and compliance reports • Proficient in IT systems including Microsoft Office and estates software • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team DESIRABLE: • Degree in an estates, engineering or construction-related subject • IOSH or NEBOSH health and safety qualification • Experience in energy management or sustainability initiatives • Knowledge of CDM regulations and building compliance frameworks • Experience within an education or multi-site environment BENEFITS • Competitive rates of pay • Professional development opportunities • Career pathways across the organisation • Teacher / Local Authority Pension Scheme • Online retail discount • Employee Assistance Programme • Family-friendly policies • Flexible working arrangements The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and Social Media check APPLY TODAY… By submitting your job application to us you are hereby giving us your express consent to submit your details to our Client for this purpose.
