Job Description

Redstone Recruitment are looking for an Estimator to join a busy Heritage Restoration company in London.\n\nThe ideal candidate will have achieved a high grade in a construction related degree and have experience in heritage construction with a good understanding of stonework, brickwork, roofing, carpentry and general restoration.\n\nRESPONSIBILITIES:\n\n * Reading and understanding tender information\n\n * Review the scope of works and mark up various trades.\n\n * Price in house trades including labour, plant, and materials.\n\n * Preparing and sending out subcontractor and supplier enquiries\n\n * Meeting clients, surveyor & architects on site.\n\n * Visiting site to assess scope of works.\n\n * Meeting subcontractors and reviewing their scope of works\n\n * Read, understand and take off measurements and details from drawings.\n\n * Prepare bespoke SoW/ BoQs to provide accurate costings.\n\n * Prepare tender stage programme of works.\n\n * Assist in quality submissions.\n\nPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS\n\n * Construction related degree.\n\n * HNC/HND and industry experience may be considered.\n\n * CSCS Card.\n\n * Experience within the masonry and conservation sector {desirable).\n\nESSENTIAL\n\n * Good computer literacy including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Project. Experience with Causeway Estimating software desirable but not essential.\n\n * Salary is negotiable depending on experience.\n\n * Pass security clearance application.\n\n * Full clean UK driving licence and own car preferable.\n\nIf you are interested in this role, please apply with your CV below.
