Job Description

We Build Recruitment are now searching for an experienced Estimator on behalf of our client, a leading North West based office fit out company.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for office fit-out project.

This role requires strong technical knowledge of fit-out construction methods, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously within tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed cost estimates for interior fit-out projects from first principles. Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to produce accurate take-offs. Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations. Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and constraints. Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving options. Prepare tender submissions, pricing schedules, and supporting documentation. Collaborate with the design, commercial and operations teams during pre-construction. Assess project risks and incorporate appropriate allowances. Attend pre- and post-tender meetings as required Support handover to the project delivery team upon successful award.

Key Skills & Experience

Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in estimating within the interior fit-out sector. Strong knowledge of commercial office and high-end interior projects. Proficient in measurement and cost planning. Experience using estimating software and Excel-based pricing models. Good understanding of UK construction contracts and procurement routes. Strong negotiation skills with subcontractors and suppliers. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar ().
