Job Title: Junior Estimator \n\nLocation: Nottingham / UK (office + site visits)\n Salary: Dependent on experience \n\nDepartment: Pre-Construction / Commercial\n\nRole Overview\n\nWe are looking for a motivated Junior Estimator to support our clients estimating and pre-construction team. You'll assist with pricing and tender preparation for fit-out and construction projects of varying size and complexity, helping ensure they deliver accurate, competitive bids and commercial success.\n\nThis is a great opportunity for someone early in their career or looking to develop their estimating skills within a supportive and growing business.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nSupport the preparation of accurate cost estimates and tender submissions.\n\nReview architectural and engineering drawings, specifications and scope documents to identify cost items.\n\nAssist in producing quantity take-offs and pricing breakdowns for materials, labour, plant and subcontract packages.\n\nSource and evaluate supplier / subcontractor quotes and maintain pricing records.\n\nHelp prepare Bills of Quantities, cost plans and tender documentation.\n\nAssist in identifying risks, exclusions and opportunities in bid packages.\n\nLiaise with project teams including design, commercial and operations to ensure estimates align with programme and technical requirements.\n\nSupport post-tender follow-up and clarifications where required.\n\nMaintain and update internal estimating databases and rate libraries.\n\nAttend site visits to gather information for pricing and scope clarification when needed.\n\nSkills & Attributes\n\nStrong numerical and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.\n\nGood understanding of basic construction methods, materials and processes.\n\nAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Excel and general estimating software (or willingness to learn).\n\nGood communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.\n\nOrganised, proactive and keen to develop professionally
