Are you an Estimator who thrives on the challenge of shaping major infrastructure projects? Do you want to see your accurate, competitive bids become reality on the ground?
We are partnering with a leading multinational in the infrastructure and constructure sector to find a talented Estimator. This is a pivotal role within their dynamic Commercial Team, where you will take ownership of the bid process from initial opportunity through to successful submission.
More than just a number-cruncher, you will be a key driver of growth.
The Role:
You’ll be at the heart of securing new business, managing the entire tender lifecycle for frameworks and significant projects, primarily within the rail/construction sector. Your analytical skills and commercial acumen will be critical in delivering winning proposals.
What You’ll Need:
* Proven experience as an Estimator, ideally within Rail, Construction, or a related infrastructure field.
* A strong track record of managing tender documents and understanding contract terms.
* Excellent IT skills, including experience with estimating software and CAD viewers.
* Outstanding communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.
* The skill to engage and manage multiple stakeholders, both internally and externally.
* A degree in Construction Management (or similar) and/or professional accreditation (e.g., RICS, ACostE, ICES) is highly desirable.
A typical day might involve:
* Identifying and developing new tender opportunities that align with business strategy.
* Analysing complex drawings, specifications, and rail standards to produce accurate, comprehensive estimates.
* Collaborating with technical, commercial, and project teams to consolidate inputs and build a robust bid.
* Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors to secure optimal pricing.
* Leading on tender documentation, coordinating site visits, and presenting at settlement meetings.
What We Offer:
* A competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.
* The opportunity to work on high-profile, nationally significant infrastructure projects.
* A clear path for career progression within a global organisation.
* A supportive, professional environment where your expertise will be valued.
