Estimator – Refurbishment Contractor

Location - Blackheath, London

Salary - £60k - £70k plus package


Brief:

Are you an experienced Estimator looking to advance your career? We’re recruiting for a well-established London-based contractor renowned for delivering high-quality refurbishment, restoration, and redecoration projects across residential, commercial, and heritage sectors.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates for a range of projects, including external repairs, restoration, and redecoration, as well as internal refurbishment and office fit-outs.
  • Analysing drawings, specifications, and project information to develop detailed bills of quantities.
  • Working closely with the commercial and pre-construction teams to support tender submissions.
  • Liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive rates and ensure value-driven pricing.
  • Contributing to project planning and strategy through careful cost review and risk assessment.


Who We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in estimating construction projects, particularly in:
  • External repairs, restoration, and redecorations
  • Internal refurbishment of common areas
  • Office fit-out works
  • Ideally, experience working on historic buildings in London.
  • Strong numerical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and transform them into robust cost plans.
  • Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
