We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing fire protection specialist based in Laindon. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint an experienced and detail-oriented Estimator to join their team on a permanent basis.

The Role
As Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for fire protection projects. You will work closely with internal departments, suppliers, and clients to ensure tenders are commercially viable and technically compliant.
Key Responsibilities
*
Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
*
Preparing detailed cost estimates and take-offs
*
Sourcing and negotiating prices with suppliers and subcontractors
*
Producing and submitting competitive tender packages
*
Liaising with project managers, engineers and clients
*
Identifying value engineering opportunities
*
Maintaining accurate records of quotations and tender outcomes
Requirements
*
Proven experience as an Estimator within fire protection, construction or a related sector
*
Strong understanding of fire protection systems (sprinklers, alarms, suppression systems desirable)
*
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
*
Commercially astute with excellent numerical skills
*
Strong communication and organisational skills
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel essential)
*
Full UK driving licence preferred
