*PERM POSITION - ESTIMATOR*

I'm currently working with a well-established and highly respected regional main contractor who is looking to appoint an experienced Estimator to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business with a strong pipeline of secured work across multiple sectors and a reputation for quality delivery and long-term staff retention.

The Opportunity

As Estimator, you will play a key role in the pre-construction team, taking ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission. You'll be working closely with commercial, operational, and supply chain teams to produce competitive and accurate cost plans across a variety of construction projects.

Projects typically range across commercial, education, healthcare, and mixed-use schemes, delivering both new build and refurbishment works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing detailed cost estimates and tender submissions
  • Analysing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
  • Obtaining and reviewing subcontractor and supplier quotations
  • Identifying risks, value engineering opportunities, and cost savings
  • Liaising with internal departments to ensure accurate pricing strategies
  • Attending tender adjudication and client meetings where required
  • Supporting handover to delivery teams post-award

About You

  • Proven experience working as an Estimator within a main contractor environment
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and pricing structures
  • Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously
  • Commercially aware with strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
  • Proficient in estimating software and Microsoft Office
