As Executive Chef , you will have full operational leadership over all kitchens at Hotel Café Royal. From our signature Café Royal Grill , to Green Bar , In-Room Dining , Events & Banqueting , Akasha Wellness , Breakfast , Colleague Dining , and the celebrated Cakes & Bubbles in collaboration with Albert Adri - you will oversee a diverse and dynamic culinary landscape. This is a role for a passionate and visionary leader ready to elevate guest experiences, achieve new culinary accolades, and set the standard for luxury dining in London. Key Responsibilities Leadership & People Culture Inspire, mentor and develop a multi-outlet culinary team with a commitment to excellence. Recruit and retain top talent while creating a supportive, inclusive kitchen culture. Embed strong kitchen hygiene, allergen safety, and training practices across all outlets. Serve as a visible and engaged leader, guiding by example and supporting colleague wellbeing. Operational & Financial Excellence Manage all culinary budgets, ensuring optimal food costs, GP margins, and payroll efficiency. Oversee inventory control, supplier quality, and waste reduction. Maintain highest hygiene and health & safety standards (HACCP), ensuring full compliance at all times. Drive operational improvements under the strategic guidance of the Culinary Director. Creativity & Innovation Collaborate on seasonal menu development and culinary innovation for all outlets, including working with our culinary consultant for Café Royal Grill. Lead R&D tastings and feedback sessions to continually enhance quality and presentation. Support new concepts, activations, and pop-ups that tell our brand story and delight our guests. Stay ahead of culinary trends and luxury dining expectations. Guest Experience & Brand Presence Uphold and elevate the hotel's culinary reputation, ensuring every dish exceeds guest expectations. Personally engage with VIPs and partners during high-profile moments. Represent the kitchen team and our food philosophy at PR and industry events. Strategic Commitment Champion the hotels values and commitment to sustainability, inclusivity, and community engagement. Foster a Five-Star service mindset aligned with Forbes Travel Guide standards. Uphold the principles of Relationship Hospitality, delivering heartfelt service at every turn. What Were Looking For Proven experience as an Executive Chef or Senior Sous Chef within a luxury hotel or high-end dining environment Strong leadership credentials with a genuine passion for mentoring and developing teams Financial and operational acumen, with a track record of managing food costs, staffing, and compliance Creative flair paired with discipline, consistency, and obsession for quality Confident communicator, highly organised, emotionally intelligent, and calm under pressure Knowledge of allergens, dietary needs, and wellness-led cuisine is a strong advantage Our Vision & Values Our Vision : To be recognised as one of the worlds leading modern hotels.
