Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead a wide-ranging portfolio that includes housing, regeneration, planning, neighbourhood services, community safety, and economic development. You will play a central role in delivering Redbridge’s strategic priorities—ensuring clean, safe, and inclusive neighbourhoods, vibrant town centres, and sustainable growth.
Providing strategic leadership across housing, property, regeneration, planning, transport, neighbourhood services , and community cohesion.
Driving economic growth and inward investment, with a strong focus on Ilford Town Centre and borough-wide regeneration.
Ensuring the Council’s land and property assets support regeneration, housing delivery, and climate goals.
Championing inclusive communities and ensuring Redbridge remains a safe, attractive place to live and work.
Representing Redbridge at regional and national levels, influencing policy and securing investment.
This is a role with real breadth and impact—supporting community wellbeing, economic opportunity, and sustainable development across Redbridge.
Substantial senior experience in local government or a comparable complex organisation.
A strong track record in regeneration, housing, planning, or environmental services.
Deep understanding of local government policy, legislation, and funding frameworks.
Experience leading large-scale transformation and delivering improved outcomes.
A collaborative, inclusive leadership style and commitment to community engagement.
Strong financial and performance management skills, with a focus on value and impact.
