Evercore seeks to hire an experienced Vice President to join our Corporate Events Team. In this role, the person will work with a team of Corporate Events professionals to deliver exceptional experiences to our employees and clients. The ideal candidate will excel in managing complex event logistics, ensuring flawless execution and delivering a superior level of client service. Primary Responsibilities The primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:
Partner closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to translate objectives into impactful event experiences. Oversee the planning and execution of conferences, executive forums, and major client-facing events.
Team Management & Operational Excellence
Lead a team of event planners on larger programs, ensuring strong project ownership, collaboration, and consistent delivery standards. Manage best practice processes, workflows, and timelines across the full event lifecycle. Drive innovation in event formats, engagement strategies, and experiential design.
Stakeholder & Client Engagement
Serve as a trusted advisor to business sponsors, providing strategic guidance and creative solutions that align with objectives and compliance requirements. Build effective relationships with internal clients, ensuring personalized, high impact experiences across both external and internal programs - including leadership offsites, employee engagement initiatives, and corporate culture events.
Budget, Contracts & Supplier Management
Own all aspects of event budgeting, including forecasting, approval processes, cost control, and invoice reconciliation. Manage key supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure service delivery meets or exceeds expectations.
Compliance, Governance & Risk Management
Ensure events adhere to firmwide policies, legal requirements, anticorruption guidelines, data protection standards, and government official protocols. Manage compliance driven processes, including invitee preapprovals, transparency documentation, and risk assessments.
Content, Production & Communications
Lead external speaker sourcing and management, including diligence, contracting, briefing, and logistics. Oversee development of event communications and marketing assets in partnership with Design and Digital teams (invitations, agendas, websites, mobile apps, branding collateral). Collaborate closely with audiovisual and production teams on staging, technical design, and content delivery. Deliver post event reporting, performance analysis, and stakeholder feedback to inform future strategy. Maintain accurate and timely reporting across event metrics, budgets, and value tracking. Drive continuous improvement by enhancing planning cycles, operational processes, and engagement methodologies.
Specific Qualifications The ideal candidate will have a strong team-based attitude and work ethic. They will be ambitious and resourceful, as well as intellectually curious and eager to learn. Additional qualifications include:
Bachelor’s degree required; professional event certifications (e.g., CMP, CSEP) preferred. 8–12 years of senior event management experience, ideally in financial or professional services - with proven success delivering high profile, client-facing conferences and internal corporate events. Strong leadership abilities with a track record of influencing senior stakeholders, guiding teams, and making sound, solution-driven decisions. Exceptional organizational, project management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple large-scale events under pressure while maintaining accuracy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence engaging C‑suite executives, clients, and vendor partners. Deep knowledge of premium venues, supplier management, and event operations, including hybrid and virtual formats and event technology platforms. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, event management tools, and familiarity with CRM systems. Flexible and adaptable, with willingness to work evenings/weekends and travel as needed. Strong team orientation, a client first mindset, and commitment to delivering high standards of excellence. Conversational/business proficiency in French and/or Italian.
