Veritas Education is proud to be working in partnership with a highly regarded, specialist early years and pre-preparatory school in Southwark to recruit an exceptional EYFS / KS1 Class Teacher for a September 2026 start.

The successful candidate will join a passionate team focused on supporting pupils' academic progress, creativity, wellbeing, and personal development. Teaching is underpinned by a rich, play-based and exploratory approach in EYFS, evolving into a carefully structured and engaging KS1 curriculum that maintains curiosity and enjoyment in learning.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Experience within EYFS and/or KS1, with a strong understanding of early child development
A passion for play-based, child-centred learning and supporting progression into more formal learning
The ability to deliver a creative, cross-curricular curriculum that engages and inspires young learners

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging lessons across the EYFS / KS1 curriculum, tailored to individual needs
Create a warm, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment where children feel safe and confident
Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development, fostering independence and resilience
Use ongoing assessment to inform teaching and ensure strong progress for all learners
