EYFS Teacher

An Ofsted outstanding SEN school in Southwark are seeking a dedicated EYFS Teacher to work with year 2 students using the EYFS curriculum.

• Small class sizes - reception aged students
• Two Teaching Assistants in the class
• £165-240 per day depending on experience
• Southwark location - easily accessible by various train stations and TFL

We are seeking an EYFS Teacher for a vibrant primary school in Southwark specialising in supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) in a reception aged setting.

In this rewarding EYFS Teacher role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment tailored to the unique needs of each student. Your expertise as an EYFS Teacher will help develop individualised learning plans that promote engagement, independence, and social skills.

The School

The successful EYFS Teacher applicant would be joining an outstanding SEN school in Southwark for children with severe learning difficulties. This SEN school offers provision for pupils from 4-19 years, who have severe learning differences. This school implements the EYFS framework along with play-based and sensory learning activities to ensure each student reaches their learning goals.

The EYFS Teacher Job

- Develop and implement personalised educational programs based on a play based EYFS curriculum.- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists and educational psychologists.- Foster a positive and supportive classroom atmosphere.- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting approaches as the EYFS teacher in the classroom.- Engage with parents and caregivers to support student development at home and in school.

- Work with and lead a support team within the classroom.

EYFS Teacher Qualifications- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent - (PGCE 5-11 years old is desirable) - Strong knowledge of ASD and SLD.- Experience working in a primary education setting is preferred.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
