On behalf of our client, we are recruiting for an experienced Fabric Small Works Manager to oversee the delivery of minor fabric works across a varied property portfolio. The Role:
As Fabric Small Works Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of small fabric works projects, from initial survey through to completion. You will ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Key
Responsibilities:
* Manage the end-to-end delivery of small fabric works projects, including repairs, refurbishments and minor improvements
* Carry out site surveys, prepare scopes of work and provide cost estimates
* Plan, schedule and coordinate works, ensuring minimal disruption to clients and building users
* Manage and supervise in-house operatives and subcontractors
* Ensure compliance with health & safety legislation, company policies and industry standards
* Monitor project budgets, costs and variations
* Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure works meet required specifications Liaise with clients, stakeholders and internal teams, providing regular progress updates Resolve any issues or defects promptly and professionally
* Ensure accurate record keeping and completion of project documentation
About You:
* Proven experience in a similar fabric maintenance or small works management role
* Strong technical knowledge of building fabric works (e.g. carpentry, plastering, roofing, painting & decorating, minor building works)
* Experience managing multiple small projects simultaneously
* Sound understanding of health & safety regulations and best practice
* Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
* IT literate, with experience using job management or CAFM systems (desirable)
* Full UK driving licence
