About Durata Fabrication

Durata Fabrication is the in‑house metal manufacturing arm of the Durata Group, delivering precision-fabricated components for critical sectors—including data centres, renewable energy, offshore, marine, and nuclear—service-ready for global deployment.

Role Overview

As Business Development Manager at Durata Fabrication, You will be based between our Middlesbrough and Durham sites. You'll spearhead growth by identifying and securing new fabrication projects from concept to contract. You will develop strong client relationships within critical industries and collaborate with internal teams to deliver engineered solutions aligned with customer needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Business Growth: Proactively identify market opportunities within renewable, offshore, marine, nuclear, and data centre sectors.
• Lead Management: Qualify enquiries, shape technical proposals, and prepare compelling commercial bids.
• Client Relationships: Cultivate long-term partnerships—ensuring regular engagement and trust-building.
• Internal Collaboration: Work closely with Estimating, Production, and Project teams to align capabilities with client requirements.
• Deal Closure: Negotiate contracts, resolve issues, and secure repeat business.
• Market Intelligence: Monitor industry trends, competitor actions, and emerging technologies.

Required Skills & Experience

• Demonstrable track record in fabrication or engineering sales—particularly within critical industries.
• Strong technical understanding and ability to interpret specifications.
• Success in managing full sales cycle: from lead generation to commercial closure.
• Excellent relationship building, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and meet targets.
• Willingness to travel and engage onsite with clients and teams.
