Orbital Recruitment are currently recruitng for permanent Fabricators for our client whoi are based in Newcaastle upon Tyne\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * Fabricate from engineering drawings and job packs.\n\n * Carry out MIG and TIG welding to a high standard across mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium (where applicable).\n\n * Operate fabrication equipment including saws, drills, grinders, and presses.\n\n * Ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently within agreed timescales.\n\n * Maintain quality control standards throughout the fabrication and welding process.\n\n * Work collaboratively with production, design, and installation teams.\n\n * Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental requirements.\n\n * Support continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.\n\n * Contribute to a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.\n\nKey Skills & Experience\n\n * Proven experience as a fabricator/welder in a manufacturing or engineering environment.\n\n * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings accurately.\n\n * Proficiency in MIG welding (TIG and MMA experience advantageous).\n\n * Skilled in general fabrication processes - cutting, folding, drilling, and assembly.\n\n * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.\n\n * Ability to work independently and as part of a team.\n\n * Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.\n\n * Understanding of workshop health and safety practices.\n\n * Forklift or crane operation experience is beneficial (training provided if required)
