We’re currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator Welder on behalf of a busy and well-established engineering firm. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled tradesperson looking for stable, long-term workshop-based work with a supportive team.
The Role:
As a Fabricator Welder, you'll be responsible for the full fabrication process from start to finish. You’ll work from technical drawings to cut, prepare, weld, and assemble mild steel components to precise specifications.
Key Responsibilities:

Interpreting and working from engineering and fabrication drawings
*
MIG welding to a high standard (TIG welding experience advantageous)
*
Measuring, marking, cutting, drilling, and prepping materials
*
Use of various hand tools and fabrication machinery (e.g. bandsaws, press machines, grinders, drills)
*
Quality checking finished work for accuracy and finish
*
Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
What We’re Looking For:
*
Proven experience in a fabrication and welding role
*
Strong MIG welding skills (TIG also highly desirable)
*
Confident reading and working from technical drawings
*
Good attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
*
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
*
Experience with mild steel as a minimum (aluminium/stainless steel a bonus)
*
Forklift or overhead crane experience beneficial but not essential
