Facilities Assistant – Central London (Full‑Time)

Location: Central London

Contract: Permanent

Reports to: Facilities & Office Services Manager


We are partnering with a prestigious international law firm to recruit an experienced Facilities Assistant for their London office. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive, service‑driven professional to join a high‑performing team in a fast‑paced corporate environment.


About the Role


This position plays a key part in ensuring the smooth running of a busy legal office. You’ll provide day‑to‑day facilities support, deliver exceptional customer service, and help maintain a safe, efficient, and well‑organised workplace. The ideal candidate thrives in a hands‑on role and enjoys being the go‑to person for operational support.


Key Responsibilities


  • Asset tracking and service request management
  • Regular floor walks to support staff and identify issues
  • Reporting and monitoring maintenance issues with external vendors
  • Supporting reactive tasks and project work with the wider team
  • Coordinating office moves and workstation setups
  • Preparing new joiner offices and assisting leavers
  • Meeting room furniture setup and reconfiguration
  • Updating departmental documents and compliance files
  • Monitoring and reporting defects (lighting, HVAC, leaks, blinds, etc.)
  • Carrying out basic repairs and troubleshooting
  • Supervising contractors as required
  • Supporting health & safety inspections, DSE checks, and risk assessments


Candidate Profile


We are seeking someone who brings professionalism, initiative, and a strong customer‑service mindset.


  • Ideally at least 3 years’ experience in a facilities role within a law firm
  • Excellent organisational and time‑management skills
  • Calm, professional approach in a busy environment
  • Strong administrative and record‑keeping abilities
  • Comfortable with physical duties and hands‑on tasks
  • Strong communication skills across all levels
  • Knowledge of health & safety and building services (desirable)
  • H&S or IWFM qualifications (advantageous)
