FACILITIES & FLEET MANAGER
37 hours per week, based in Preston
£48,391 per annum
This is a hands-on role with responsibility for ensuring that Community Gateway's buildings, facilities services and fleet are safe, compliant and work well for colleagues and customers.
You'll manage a small specialist team and work with a range of contractors, balancing statutory compliance, day-to-day operations and improvement work. We're looking for someone who can assess priorities calmly, organise work effectively and know when to escalate or seek support.
What we are looking for:
Significant experience in a similar facilities management role
Strong working knowledge of health and safety, compliance and statutory obligations relating to buildings and vehicles
Experience of managing planned preventative maintenance schedules and contractor performance
Experience of procuring goods and services and managing contracts
Ability to plan workloads, prioritise effectively and use data to inform decisions
Experience of managing, supporting and motivating a team
IOSH qualification (or equivalent)
IWFM Level 4 qualification, or willingness to work towards this
It would be great if you also had:
Experience of managing fleet operations, including compliance, telematics and incident support
Experience of business continuity or disaster recovery planning
NEBOSH qualification
Experience of office refurbishments or building projects

Working Arrangements
Once you have settled in to the role and the organisation, there is the opportunity for some home-working. We are a team that works flexibly to accommodate business and personal needs. Occasional evening or weekend working will be required to respond to emergencies or projects, but this is planned, shared and supported appropriately.
