Facilities Manager (Temp – 4+ Weeks)
Location: Southampton Science Park
Hours: 8:00am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (fully site-based)
Rate: Up to £30 per hour
Duration: Minimum 4 weeks (potential to extend)
We are seeking an experienced, site-based Facilities Manager to provide temporary cover at a multi-occupancy commercial property in Southampton.
You will support the Senior Facilities Manager and Property Manager in ensuring the smooth, compliant, and efficient day-to-day running of the building, delivering a high standard of service to occupiers and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily building operations and complete regular site inspections
Manage planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive works
Monitor and review contractor performance
Ensure full Health & Safety and statutory compliance across the site
Organise fire drills, first aid provision, and accident reporting
Act as the main point of contact for occupiers, handling day-to-day queries
Maintain accurate site records, compliance systems, and helpdesk updates
Assist with minor works, purchase orders, and service charge administration
Requirements
Proven Facilities Management experience within a commercial property environment
Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and compliance
Experience managing contractors and building services (M&E, HVAC, life safety systems)
Professional, confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
Strong organisational and IT skills (Word, Excel, compliance systems)
IOSH Managing Safely (desirable but not essential)
