This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional looking to take ownership of site-wide infrastructure, safety compliance, and maintenance strategy in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.\n\n The Role\n\n The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running, compliance, and continuous improvement of the site’s facilities. You’ll be at the forefront of managing contractors, overseeing preventative maintenance schedules, handling site refurbishments, and ensuring safety standards are not just met - but exceeded.\n\n This role offers variety, autonomy, and a real opportunity to drive operational excellence within a logistics and warehousing setting.\n\n Key Responsibilities\n\nManage all building systems and services across the distribution centre.\nOversee planned preventative maintenance to ensure optimal site performance.\nLead site refurbishments and renovation projects, liaising with contractors and suppliers.\nMaintain Health & Safety compliance (including legal and environmental standards).\nTake ownership of internal MHE and FLT management systems.\nSupervise site security, cleaning, and waste management functions.\nCollaborate closely with internal stakeholders in a warehouse environment.\nManage maintenance and facilities budgets, identifying opportunities for cost saving.\nSupport the operational team and remain flexible to occasional shift or weekend issues.Ideal Candidate Profile\n\nProven experience in facilities management, ideally within a warehouse or distribution centre.\nStrong communication and organisational skills.\nSound understanding of H&S practices – IOSH qualification highly desirable.\nTech-savvy with excellent problem-solving ability.\nHolds a valid UK driving licence.\nProactive, hands-on, and adaptable.Desirable (Not Essential)\n\nDegree or qualification in Facilities or Property Management.\nFamiliarity with CDM regulations.\nBudget management and supplier negotiation experience.What’s in it for you?\n\nCompetitive salary up to £40K (DOE)\nPerformance bonuses – up to 10% quarterly\nFree on-site gym and access to sports facilities\nRegular team-building activities and outings\nA collaborative, forward-thinking work culture\nReal career progression and autonomy in your role
