Job Title: Family Paralegal Salary: £25,000 – £32,000+ (DOE) Location: Watford (Hybrid available) Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

We are looking for a driven and capable paralegal with a solid understanding of family law. The role will involve a mix of private and publicly funded work, depending on experience, and offers the opportunity to develop hands-on experience across a broad range of matters. You will be responsible for taking instructions from clients, assisting on cases, and in some instances managing your own files from start to finish.

Main Responsibilities:

* Supporting solicitors on a range of family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy, private children matters, and domestic abuse cases

* Assisting with legal aid applications where applicable

* Managing client files and maintaining accurate, up-to-date records

* Conducting legal research and preparing summaries

* Liaising with clients, courts, and third parties

* Preparing bundles and assisting with hearings and client meetings

* Supporting billing processes and maintaining time records

Essential Skills and Experience:

* A good understanding of family law (private and/or legal aid experience advantageous)

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* High level of attention to detail and accuracy

* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
