Job Description A well-regarded regional law firm is seeking an experienced Family Solicitor to lead its family law offering in the Bournemouth office. This is a unique opportunity for a confident and self-motivated practitioner to work independently as the sole family lawyer on site while shaping and growing the team's presence in the region. The role involves handling a wide range of private family matters, including divorce, financial remedies, and children issues, as well as undertaking advocacy where appropriate. You will also play a key role in business development, building and maintaining relationships with clients and local referrers, and enhancing the firm's profile in the community. Family mediation experience is desirable but not essential.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years PQE in family law, a commercially minded approach, excellent communication and advocacy skills, and the ability to work autonomously. A proven track record of attracting or developing a client base is highly valued.
