Family Solicitor/Executive Location: Crossgates / Chapel Allerton (Leeds) Salary: £45,000 to £65,000 plus bonus Experience: Experienced Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (private family) Our client is recruiting a Family Solicitor/Executive to join its Family team, working across two Leeds branches. This is a privately funded Family role with a varied caseload, strong support, and clear scope to build your profile within a growing, people‑first firm. What You’ll Be Doing You will manage your own caseload of privately funded Family matters, including:

Divorce and financial remedy work Separation matters Nuptial agreements Children arrangements Domestic violence matters

Key responsibilities will include

Managing matters from initial instruction through to conclusion Drafting statements, applications and other court documents Handling new client enquiries and providing clear, practical advice Attending court hearings and undertaking advocacy where appropriate Preparing and maintaining accurate file documentationWorking with central services to support billing and recovery of fees Instructing counsel and experts where required

What We’re Looking For Essential

Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with a current practising certificate Strong experience handling privately funded Family matters Excellent client care with a professional, friendly approach Strong drafting skills and confidence preparing court documents Organised, methodical approach with strong attention to detail Ability to prioritise, work at pace and meet deadlines Confident IT skills and willingness to learn new systems Team player with a strong work ethic and the ability to work on your own initiative
